BIERBANK Stout Oak Aged is the dark brown beer with hints of mahogany and ruby, with a delicate aroma in which the signs of the old bourbon barrel prevail: whiskey, oak, a little of vanilla. The beer is similar to good port wine, still, it takes from the stout the hues of caramel and dried fruit (mostly prunes) and some hop. The taste is strong but well-balanced; old port wine and whiskey, prunes, bitter chocolate taste heady and at the same time rather mild, there is no excessive astringency that barrel-aged beer may sometimes have. Excellent warming beer for winter and Christmas.
